Answer: When it comes to WordPress plugins, I must admit, I have not looked into which plugin is best for specific tasks. Instead, I use the rating system provided on the WordPress website (wordpress.org) for each plugin. I choose to use or not use WordPress plugins based on five of WordPress’s rating criteria:
- Number of downloads (the more the better)
- Star rating (the higher number the better)
- Last updated (usually I look for 6-12 months ago)
- Compatibility (is it compatible with my current install)
- Does it work?(according to users does it work with my install)
If you use this system I think you will get a good idea as to what many users think about various plugins. Good luck! |
