florida_peDr. Clyde Lettsome, PhD, PE, MEM has successfully renewed his Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license. Dr. Lettsome continues to stay abreast of the knowledge and advances made in his field, as well as knowing and adhering to the engineering laws & rules as set by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers. The PE License has to be renewed every two years and requires proof of continuing education to ensure that the engineer is keeping up with latest research and technology.   Obtaining and maintaining a PE license indicates that a degreed engineer has been deemed by the licensing state as a competent engineer in his or her engineering discipline. In many cases the professional engineering designation is required for individuals to practice and work as an engineer.

“I have renewed two P.E. licenses in the past two months”, says Dr. Lettsome. “Maintaining and renewing this license is just my continued commitment to abide by the high ethical standards set by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.”
